Donation for Bosnia
In the worst recorded act of genocide since the Second World War, more than 80 per cent of Muslims in Bosnia were slaughtered when war erupted in the Yugoslav republic of Bosnia-Herzegovina. Between April 1992 and 1995, when the final ceasefire was negotiated in the United States, the deaths of 100,000 people were reported. Most of those killed were Muslims. A donation to Ummah Relief International will help us deliver fresh Qurbani meat to poverty-stricken Bosnians during Eid-al-Adha.
During the month of Dhul Hijjah, Muslims around the world slaughter an animal to honor Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son for the sake of God. This sacrifice is known as Qurbani. It is an important and integral part of Islam, and one every Muslim aims to support. According to tradition, at least one third of the meat from the slaughtered animal must go to poor or vulnerable people. One third of the meat can be kept for the family of the person who has slaughtered the animal and the final third is given to their neighbors.
The Festival of Sacrifice, Eid-al-Adha, is celebrated during Dhul Hijah. It begins on the tenth day and ends on the thirteenth. A donation to Ummah Relief International’s Qurbani Udhiya Program will ensure that fresh Qurbani meat can be distributed to the poor who would otherwise be excluded from this important tradition.
URI Qurbani Distribution Program
Ummah Relief International’s Qurbani Distribution Program makes a real difference to the lives of Muslims around the world. Qurbani donations for orphans and refugees can feed the hungry at an important time of the year for their faith.
Donate Qurbani in Bosnia via Ummah Relief International and help feed the hungry. A Qurbani Donation Bosnia will make a big difference to the lives of struggling Muslims who really need support to put food on the table. An Udhiya Donation Bosnia will also relieve hunger.

Ummah Relief International Still Helping Bosnian Refugees
Just two years after Ummah Relief International was founded, we held our first conference and fundraising event for the Bosnia Crisis. In coordination with the Bosnian Association, we distributed thousands of dollars’ worth of dry food, medicine, clothing, emergency supplies and shelter, among other things. Our work in Bosnia continues today, 21 years after we made our first pledge to help those who needed humanitarian aid. The need for assistance is still there and we still need to respond. You can support our work – donate Qurbani Bosnia – by making a pledge today.
